A member asked:

If cancer was found on a ct scan how quickly would you be told? i am waiting on a letter for my results but if they found something would they call

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: There is no fixed protocol for notifying a patient. It would be entirely appropriate for you to call your primary care provider to share the results with you. Please keep in mind that the imaging study may not provide a definitive diagnosis and a biopsy may be needed for examination by a pathologist.
