Decongestant: I recommend that you use a decongestant nasal spray and take a combination decongestant and nonsedating antihistamine like claritinD to get you through the exam. However it's important to only take the recommended dose of these medications,otherwise they can make you too jittery.

Nose: There a number of over the counter medications that can help with the symptoms of runny nose. One of the most effective for a short term usage only would be an oxymetazoline nasal spray.

Try an: over the counter non-sedating antihistamine (loratadine or fexaphenadine). You can also try to rinse your nose with a saline nasal spray.
