A member asked:

My daughter keeps getting skin abscesses and she now has one on her buttcheek that has grown to the size of a baseball and he doctor wont do anything?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Visit: That is a large abscess. Some physicians aren't comfortable doing "incision and drainage" especially on children. See another physician or go to the ER. Right away (esp if fever, appetite changes, shakes or chills). This could become a life threatening infection and must be treated and monitored closely until resolved.
