Wait until tomorrow.: It takes Meloxicam up to 2 weeks to reach its maximum effectiveness. A single dose often does nothing.

NSAIDS: They are both nsaids, so it is best to wait to be safe. A different class such as Acetominophen would be ok today, then start the celebrex (celecoxib) tomorrow. Best wishes.

No. NSAID overuse: Although they are different medications, they are in the same class. Combining them in one day increases risks of kidney and stomach problems. Wait until tomorrow to take another. You could try combining with Tylenol (acetaminophen) which is a different class of medication.

Meloxicam : Meloxicam is a once a day medication and the maximum dose is 15 mg. Celebrex is in the same class as Meloxicam and your body removes it from the body by the kidneys. It would not be a good idea to take both medications on the same day. Tylenol, (acetaminophen) which is metabolized by the liver, is a better choice for pain. Always check with your doctor before taking over the counter meds with prescriptions.
