Titrating up on lamictal monotherapy for bipolar 2 currently up to 50mg per day how does my doctor know when i reach a "therapeutic" dose? i know 200 mg is recommended but based on what criteria?

Great question: Wish I had a great answer. Some doctor here might, but I hope yours can give you a good answer at least. Ask what you should be looking for - both good and bad. Work as a team. My guess is that your report of symptom control w/ few if any side effects will be what the goal is. Discuss it. Best!
