Hypoferritinemia: Ferritin is a storage form of iron (Fe). Low ferritin level suggests low iron reserve--either due to increased utilization of iron by the body, poor Fe intake, impaired Fe uptake, occult bleeding with resulting Fe loss...you get the idea. Questions for you: 1) are you anemic? 2) have you experienced or seen blood from the gut, urine, nose, lungs, etc. Pursue further evaluation with your doctor.
