See A Doctor: Your status says you have insurance. If that is truly the case, now is the perfect time for you to establish care with a primary doctor. Make an appointment to discuss this ASAP. A doctor can do a thorough evaluation to help determine your cause. Best wishes.

Need md: Truthfully- you will get the best answer by seeing a doctor because ultimately I would recommend a laryngoscopy which typically is done by ear nose throat doctors. Reason being is that with hoarseness we need to rule out cancer. There are other things such as gastritis/heartburn which can cause this and can be treated by OTC proton pump inhibitors such as Prilosec but you will eventually need seen

?infection: You may have an infection, so see if you can see any health care provider like at an urgicare center, as you need to be diagnosed whether it is a viral or bacterial infection. Good luck.
