Maybe not that bad: You need a CT scan of sinuses to confirm diagnosis. Seek an ENT for nasal endoscopy in office and rule out other possible cause of symptoms like gastric reflux disease. If surgery is needed, newer therapies in office like balloon opening of sinuses and stent placements are revolutionizing old traumatic FESS sinus surgery.
