Need more info: What is described as an "internal hernia" is a very unusual condition. I would need much more detailed information from the radiologist & to see the the films. Have you had prior abdominal or pelvic surgery? Some things seen on a CT scan are true findings & some are incidental findings of no importance. Review your test results with a doctor to see if you need a referral to see a surgeon.

CT was done with iv iodine contrast pelvic and abdominal cavity for abd pain. ER visit. Small hiatal hernia found. Everything else normal. Can radiologist see a colon or anal mass that's large? At least 2cm?
I had a colon resection done in May 2017, during this they found and removed an infected inguinal hernia mesh, could this have caused the colon issues?
Abd pain dx. CT w contrast of abdominal and pelvic cavity done small hiatal hernia found. No other findings. Colonoscopy done. One flat 4mm polyp in sigmoid colon, diverticulosis in transverse and LT colon. Still having on&off diarrhea.What ya think?
What is most likely to cause all-day right-sided abdominal pain & pressure to the right of navel for weeks; muscle, adhesion (2020 inguinal hernia surgery), abdominal hernia, or colon inflammation/IBS? CT, Ultrasound, blood tests all inconclusive?
