Don't stress: It is very unusual to have colon cancer at age 39. Most common symptom is change in bowel habits. Get a colonoscopy to be sure. Inguinal hernias could be responsible for pain, but need more info and an exam to tell. It will all work out, so don't give up and try to keep a positive mental attitude.

Abdominal pain: Several things can cause abdom pain, and you are younger than typical age for colon cancer. The hernia is an important factor and needs to be assessed as the cause of your pain. Diverticulitis, kidney stone, and ovarian cysts are other causes of pain in that area. Please see your doctor for further eval.
