Many other: Causes .A Neulologist can test u but over 50%,no cause can be discovered. However,there are several reversible causes. This is why you should be worked up.

Causes of neuropathy: Other common causes of neuropathy are vitamin B12 deficiency and alcohol effects. There are also causes from proteins (tested with SPEP), heavy metals (tested in the urine), conditions like lupus, infections, medication side effects, inherited disorders, etc.
