Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) & EtOH ?: It's well known that alcohol has pronounced effects on mood. It's likely a bottle of Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) was labelled at the pharmacy "Do not consume alcohol". The main reason for that warning is bc alcohol can have such a pronounced effect on mood, that it's tough to tell if the med is working, if a pt also drinks alcohol during treatment. Contact ur prescribing MD to discuss safety of any EtOH intake for u.
