Not exactly moving: tonsils resides on both sides and infections generally involve both. The level of symptoms varies with symptoms and where along the progress of the infection you are. The progress of symptoms during the first 12-24 hours of treatment are mostly predetermined by where you, or each tonsil separately, is on the time/severity timeline. Either way you should be better in 3-5 days or see your doctor.
