A member asked:

I just got an oxygen blood test at the doctor. the problem is, that i was extremely anxious. can stress affect blood oxygen/co2 levels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Basically no: If you hyperventilate a little, you'll blow off carbon dioxide but this won't cause any confusion -- your physician already realizes what you're doing. It won't affect oxygen or total bicarb enough to make any difference.
