Sounds like it: As bone erosion is a bad thing in your mouth. Should be an easy surgery . All the best.

2nd opinion: Impossible to give a conclusive 2nd opinion without benefit of an examination. You have a problem that needs a remedy, it will not self cure and will only get worse over time. Your ENT has almost a decade of health-care training, the benefit of an examination, years of treating patients with problems just like yours. I would tend to follow his/her recommendation.
