Do you have : Your gall bladder? Sorry all your procedures did not scroll up. Could be gallbladder problem. Especially if it gets worse at night when laying down or after eating. If you find this happens you need to eat. A bland diet until you get in to visit your doc to get evaluated

Muscle vs intestine: By "side" do you mean your stomach/abdomen or your flank?It could be a muscle spasm as the flank and back muscles are intimately connected.However,if you mean abdomen it could be more of a bowel related issue.Sometimes gas in the intestines can produce symptoms similar to this as well.Is the back pain constant,has it gone away,or is it intermittent?If it gets much worse have your doc examine you.
