Needs to be checked: It is hard to tell you what these weird bumps may be without examination. So I will suggest you consult your primary care doctor or an ENT Specialist It may be something benign like mucus cyst or canker sores which are painful or oral lichen planus which is an inflammatory condition and certain medications can cause it Get it checked

Tongue bumps: If you have pain or these bumps are red then have them checked out by a dentist, or oral surgeon. The tongue normally has some big bumps on the back surface. So what you have noticed my just be these normal bumps. They don't hurt , just look weird.
