Excess dose: The maximum recommended dose of fluoxetene is 80 mgs a day. Since you're used to taking 80 mgs daily, the extra tablet may not have a serious adverse effect on you, but if you experience excessive agitation,fever,headache,marked tremulousness head to the hospital ER. Otherwise sit tight and return to your usual dose tomorrow as long as you feel alright.

You'll be ok...: 3 of the 40 mg Prozac (fluoxetine) is a large dose, but there are actually people who take that high a dose. Tomorrow you may do well to take just 1 tab instead of the usual 2, just to lower the amount in your system. You may feel a little jittery, but relax, you'll be ok. Set up a routine so you take only the correct amount from now on.
