Your explanation : Seems to suggest a minor trauma caused this lesion. It should resolve in a few days. If you do not see resolution fairly quickly please see your dentist, a periodontist or an oral surgeon for an exam.

Bump in mouth: It is hard to say what your bump is without seeing it. There are a number of things that could cause this, trauma, blocked gland and other things. See an oral surgeon and have it examined.
