A member asked:

Can vitamin b12 deficiency cause musculocutaneous nerve and iliohypogastric nerve damage ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Causes neuropathy: But unusual to have an isolated mononeuropathy over arm and abdomen. If indeed this pattern of isolated nerve involvement fits a mono neuritis multiplex, one would wonder about another responsible disorder such as diabetes or arteritis. Vit B-12 problems are typically symmetrical and distal. Might investigate all of this further with your neurologist.
