Can anything be done for vicryl allergy (medication, treatment)? my whole body swells up as each stitch surfaces - 1 yr later - w/60 stitches to go!

Ask your: surgeon if he can surgically remove the remaining sutures and replace them with sutures that are made of another less reactive material. That is if you are SURE that you are truly intolerant of Vicryl, which is pretty rare.
