There are laser txs, bleaching cremes, injections that may help avoid sx.

Can't really get RID: Of scars, but you can reduce their noticibility. Use a cream called mederma to reduce the appearance of scars.

Be patient!: Much to early to worry about your final scar appearance....Takes up to 2 years for final scar maturation. Hopefully a skilled physician did the repair. Best to minimize sun exposure and use a silicone based topical scar product. Ask your plastic surgeon for a recommendation. Many are readily available in pharmacies.
