Besides back pain sometimes my left foot and toe feel like the rock of gibraltar. the pain on left side can get intense for a few minutes then go away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lumbar radiculopathy: You are describing a pinched nerve in to low back that is compressing either the left L5 or S1 nerve root. The pain comes and goes based on position. In addition to the medications that you are taking, physical therapy and/or chiropractic care can help relieve the pain. A selective nerve block or epidural steroid injection can provide relief too. You may also receive a TENS unit for home use.
