How long does it take for a l5 / s1 root block injection to start relief of pain?

Block: I am presuming you are asking about an epidural steroid injection of L5-S1. Usually, the steroid begins to work in about 2-3 days. he block is usually done with a small amount of local anesthetic which may give a few hours of immediate relief.
