Elevated TSH is a: sign of hypothyroidism, or not having enough thyroid hormone. This usually means you need supplementation with thyroid hormones, such as levothyroxine. The dosage can be weight based and also can depend on the cause of your hypothyroidism.

See dr.: Depending on the measure used will determine the dosing. the normal range is from 0.5-4.5 (or 5.0 depending on the lab), so a value of 150 would be very high. With definitive diagnosis of hypothyroid, check with your treating dr. as a basic dose of levothyroxine could be started at 100mcg, and then followed by checking a future tsh and adjusting accordingly. Best wishes.

TSH: With such a high TSH, you should go and see your primary care physician or an endocrinologist for further evaluation and treatment. The doctor can advise you on the most appropriate medication and dosage for your particular case.
