A member asked:

If a blood cloth from calf detached and traveled to heart/lungs or brain does it always mean death or are there chances of survival?warning symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually lungs: Blood clot in the veins of calves calves can only go to right heart and then gets trapped in lungs. Only in rare cases where there is hole septum of heart can it travel to brain or other organs of body. Usually patient survives with proper treatment but can die if no treatment is given.
