Remove the piercing: If you have redness, pain , swelling, odor or discharge from a piercing site it is most likely infected. If you have fever and vomitting it could suggest the infection is turning into blood poisoning and could be dangerous. It is okay to try to treat a local irritation for a few days with the piercing in place but if you are sick from it them it needs to be removed. You can try again in a while
