Have read many women have trouble getting regular periods back after going off birth control pill-even for a year or more after off. why is this so?

Don't believe...: Don't believe everything you read. The vast majority of women get back to their normal cycle within 3 months of discontinuation of the pill. There is an occasional women whose cycle does not resume as previous, and those women should seek consultation with OB/GYN, as there may be problem (like PCOS) unrelated to their use of the pill causing the problem.
