Unknown/No: I have seen no evidence that body wraps are effective for wt. Loss. I can't think of any scientific reason they would be. The only reliable weight loss strategy is to burn more calories than you consume. If you eat 500 cal. Less than you burn every day, you should lose a pound a week. Some wraps occlude your skin and may make you sweat more when you exercise. This is not losing fat, just h2o.

Body wraps only temp: Body wraps may offer temporary water weight loss, but no permanent weight loss. When combined with healthy eating, you can lose some weight. Some patients find the wrap to be motivating.
