No not really: You may loose water weight but no real change will take place in your actual body mass. To loose weight you must expend more energy than you take-in through your diet. Minimize the amount of carbohydrate (bread, soda, alcohol, pasta, potatoes, corn); maximize the amount of fiber (vegetables) and protein (lean meat, beans) in your diet. At the same time exercise (walk, run, bike, swim).
