Take a good breath .: What this means depends on a lot of factors. Are his blood counts like this repeatedly. As if this is his first abnormal blood count then it will be important to repeat this to make sure he has consistently low white blood cell and platelet counts. Your are right. It could mean that something is suppressing his bone marrow and a malignancy is possible but so are many things like infections too.

CBC results: wbc 3.6 is within the lower normal range, platelet count is a little low, neut 47% is within the normal range. These numbers alone would not imply cancer.
