A member asked:

Should my gh-deficient 9yearold boy drink milk? could that raise estrogens and thus lead to premature closure of growth plates? or is that beneficial?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Drink milk: Milk is an excellent beverage with good protein and nutrients. The estrogen s that are present are in such tiny quantities that no they will not affect growth or epiphyseal closure. If you are really concerned about the estrogens, buy organic milk. 9 year old needs the calcium and vitamin D in the milk.
