Having relatives: that have committed suicide can provide a role model for taking one's life. It can make it seem like suicide is a viable option. Having bipolar disorder increases risk for suicide. If you have frequent suicidal thoughts - it is really important that you get good treatment. Suicide is a choice - it is an option that you don't need to chose.
