Raises Testosterone: Clomiphene works essentially the same way in both women/men; in women, it binds to receptors in the brain (hypothalamus and the pituitary gland) to increase the production of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) & luteinizing hormone (LH). These hormones act on the ovarian follicles to induce egg development &ovulation. In men, the increase in FSH leads to increase itestosterone & sperm.

Not approved: To the best of my knowledge, Clomid (clomiphene) is not FDA approved or recommended for use in men. Side effects can include testicular tumors and breast enlargement. Some practitioners do prescribe it 'off label' for men. A more comprehensive list of possible side effects can be located in the package insert of the original Rx.
