Common side effect: You probably have an 'effusion' - fluid builds up in the ear because the eustachian tube at the back of your nose swells up with a cold - makes the ear feel blocked. It should respond to a simple treatment: Over the counter Afrin nasal spray, two puffs in right nostril twice daily for three days. Do NOT use Afrin more than 3 days. If not better within 2 weeks, see your regular doctor.
