This : This wouldn't be related to the pituitary, which is inside the brain. You may be thinking of the thyroid gland, which is just beneath the adam's apple in the middle of your neck. Neck masses that fluctuate in size could be related to a cyst or a fatty benign tumor called a lipoma. Either way, that needs to be evaluated by a specialist and may result in some imaging (either a ct or an ultrasound).
