Patience is Key: Some times you have a hormonal cyst that is normal in all women that bursts when you have a period. It will cause pain. If your pain is decreasing in intensity as your period progresses then you are safe to wait it out. Take some Motrin or Aleve (naproxen) in the mean time. If you feel that the pain is unbearable or you have a fever or you have nausea and vomiting, then please see a doctor.
