At best jointly: This depends on the addiction doctor you are working with. Some are willing to utilize Suboxone and some aren't. Some doctors will go over the various types of medications for opioid depedence like Suboxone, methadone, etc and work with you to find the optimal medicines based on their risks and benefits. Subutex is best used to initiate an opioid dependence regimen rather than a long term med.
