Hematoma: Most Likely a subungual hematoma. This can be relieved by your doctor or urgent care with a device that burns a hole in the nail to relieve the pressure. Prolonged pain warrants X-Ray

Blood pooling : The black discoloration is typically blood pooling from the bruising from the trauma. A fractured toe treatment is to buddy tape it to the toe next to it. Ice may help swelling and pain. If it was the great toe (first digit)that was injured we become more concerned and it may need an X-ray.

Dry blood: It sounds like you have a subungual hematoma. Which means you have blood underneath the toenail.
