PCOS/fertility: You need to talk with your doctor about increasing the dose of metformin. The maximum metformin dose is 500mg 1-2 pills twice per day if you can tolerate the dose. Metformin can cause Side effects such as nausea, belly pain, constipation diarrhoea, metallic taste etc. Patience, usually with time women with PCOS get pregnant
