I have had abdominal pain for 7 years, lower backache 3 years. just been told i have a urine infection. no other symptoms. could this be cause of pain?

Urinary infection: No. However a urinary tract infection can make chronic back and abdominal pain worse. After the urinary tract infection has resolved, check with your physician to make sure that an infection of the kidney or kidneys stones are not the cause of the back pain. Then see a neurosurgeon to evaluate the low back pain and a gastrointerologist to evaluate the abdominal pain.
