Opposites: The anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament(PCL) serve opposite purposes. The ACL helps prevent the shin bone(tibia) from moving too much forward compared to your thigh. The PCL helps prevent the shin bone from moving too far backwards compared to your thigh. It's difficult to decipher the injury to your knee without being examined in person; seek in-person help.
