My a1c is climbing from 5.6 to 5.8 in over 1 year. i also have fluctuating lipase numbers without symtoms. this has been going on 4 years. mrcp clear. does this sound like early pancreatic cancer?

Elevated Lipase: Elevated Lipase can be a concern for pancreatitis. Have you had any significant weight loss, abdominal pain? If you are concerned about cancer of the pancreas, you can get some imaging test done or tumor markers checked by your primary care doctor

Panc Ca: The change in A1C is not significant. Its unlikely you have pancreatic cancer. But if you are concerned get a CT of the abdomen. (However, we now know that CT scans can significantly increase the risk of a number of cancers.)
