Nice! Perfect time.: Try a Tbs or 2 of avocado, banana, sweet potato or spinach (for iron!) - smoothly well mashed. After one, add another - variety is good unless a bad reaction. Then back up to see which is the problem. Don't try if too hungry or full - just normal hunger. If one rejection, try again another day. Eat together - talk about and show, touch, smell the whole food. Messy is okay. Have fun! Texture next!

Wait til 6 mos.then:: Consider waiting until 6 months as many experts advise- see https://health.clevelandclinic.org/2013/03/dont-feed-your-baby-solid-food-before-6-months/ As for which foods, ideal first foods might be avocados and sweet potatoes. There is no consensus but see https://tinyurl.com/ybbxtdng and https://wellnessmama.com/739/healthy-baby-food/ Do not start with grains. Choose organic and homemade is best!
