can shortness of breath be the only symptom of lung cancer...had clear chest xray and 2 negative d dimers (all 3 in december)...scared!

More info needed: Shortness of breath can have many causes, including heart disease,lung disease, clot in the lung, and anemia. it does not necessarily indicate lung cancer. Your doctor can help sort this out.
