A member asked:

Would vit d deficiency, if causing skeletal pain, coincide with raised calcium and bone damage? and wud pain be general or cud it be localized spots?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vitamin D deficiency: This will not raise your calcium except in the very unlikely event of tertiary hyperparathyroidism. The bone pain is usually patchy. Vitamin D deficiency is rampant nowadays thanks to people being overcautious about sunlight and the lack of vitamin D in the diet. You'll get advice about supplementation and hopefully your bones will be better in a few monts.
