See your doc.: Difficulty swallowing needs investigation probably with a barium swallow test or esophagram. May be that this has nothing to do with your epiglottis and could instead be your thyroid, a cyst, an intrinsic problem with your esophagus, gastroesophageal reflux disease or neuro muscular problem. Epiglottitis is not common and generally present with very serious symptoms.

Globus sensation: You need a good exam by an ENT. I'm not too concerned about your epiglottis specifically. Reflux, allergies, possibly a tumor could cause this.

Not most likely but: That would be a bit atypical based on the length of your reported symptoms, also epiglottitis is usually painful. But it sounds like you need to be seen in person as you could have something partially obstructing the back of throat and/or top of your food pipe(esophagus). You should seek emergency care if you are having trouble breathing or swallowing your secretions.
