Yes.: If you're chronically stressed and untreated, it could cause adrenal insufficiency over a long period of time. Normally, when we feel threatened , we respond with the fight or flight phenomena . When the threat is over, our bodies go back to normal. However, if we feel constantly threatened , we do not have a chance to recover , and adrenaline is constantly high causing adrenal insufficiency .
