Yes: Temporaries are just that, temporary. They help protect the tooth units the final restoration can be placed. Don't procrastinate, finish your treatment as soon as possible.

Temp Crown: After a tooth is prepared for a crown restoration a temporary crown should always be made. it helps protect the tooth while in function, and also acts as a space maintainer to prevent shifting of the adjacent teeth and opposing teeth, as well as maintain the contour and health of the gum tissue. temporary cement does not hold as well as permanent cement so it is not uncommon for temps to come off
