Generally unrelated : MVP is a valvular problem of varying severity. If there is no significant leakage, then pts often have no symptoms and need no treatment or restrictions. Conversely, 1st degree AV block is an EKG finding describing slow but consistent conduction of electrical signals from the upper to lower heart chambers. It generally produces no symptoms and does not progress--usually an incidental finding.
